There is something divine about being a woman. There is an essence there. Own it. Be who you are. Walk in those rooms and know that you belong.

     Producing and songwriting duo Brittany “Chi” Coney and Denisia “Blu June” Andrews were riding to the Atlanta air‐ port when their first song, “Tipsy Love,” played on the radio. Recorded by talented Atlanta R&B singer Bobby V and rapper Future, the song was sure to be a hit. As their music pulsed through the vehicle, Chi and Blu June paused to savor the career‐defining moment.

     Then the song ended, and a popular Atlanta radio DJ proceeded to skewer it. He hated their song.

     So, this was actually not the moment.
    They rode in stunned silence.
    But by the time they boarded their flight, the two were focused

on the future. They had to be. They were flying to L.A. to write songs for possible placement on Rihanna’s upcoming album.

     Chi and Blu June landed in L.A. strong in their belief in themselves and in each other. They knew they were destined to succeed....
